On Saturday, the White House released its ‘fact’ sheet on how the President’s touted ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ will rid the country of the immigrants that Trump so clearly loathes.
Entitled “The One Big Beautiful Bill Will Crack Down On Illegal Immigration,” the fact sheet lays out – in vague partisan statements – the plan to further indebt the American public for a partisan vanity project.
Starting the ‘fact’ sheet with the oft-used trope blaming Biden, the White House then proceeded to list – supporting with partisan links (including using a Breitbart article, which could hardly be considered an unbiased, impartial source) – its reasons for why they want to deport millions of people from the United States.
The White House claimed that they will ensure “illegal immigrants do not receive food stamps or Medicaid, taxes money illegal aliens send out of the country.” However, they did not provide the total cost of how these supposed issues are costing the American taxpayer.
Furthermore, as previously noted (see: Give us your money, get nothing in return) undocumented migrants are required by the IRS to pay income tax – and many do to the tune of $59.4 billion to the Federal Government alone – yet receive no benefits, such as Medicare in return. Now, the Administration wants to further penalize immigrants by taxing any money they send out of the country.
Really? Seems a bit like petty theft from vulnerable working-class migrants.
Additionally, the Trump Administration is already gutting SNAP for everyday American citizens, so how exactly removing hypothetical undocumented recipients from the rolls will make food insecurity in the United States any better is bewildering. (See: Oh Snap – Administration looks to break food security program).
The release then goes on to detail how the Trump Administration will spend ‘tens of billions of dollars’ to expand ICE detention centers to maintain sufficient capacity to hold at least 100,000 people a day. It also states that they will hire a minimum of 10,000 new ICE agents and aim to remove 1 million migrants annually.
To sum up, the fact sheet states, “ramp up mass deportation operations to a level never before seen in American history.”
Scary.
So, to get this straight, the Administration plans to remove tax-paying individuals who, through their work and daily purchases of goods and services, contribute significantly to the U.S. economy and GDP, spending ‘tens of billions of dollars.’
How does that make any sense?
For an Administration hell-bent on cutting core programs solely because they perceive them as ‘left-wing’ and establishing DOGE to increase ‘government efficiency’ supposedly, it is truly baffling as to how the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ makes any sense.
The White House ended the fact sheet with the following statement: “Put simply, The Big Beautiful Bill will empower Big Beautiful Deportations.”
No, simply put, the Big Beautiful Bill will empower Big Bigoted Policy that leaves America further in debt and more divided as a nation.
